A young girl called Jaroslava, called Jezek, repeatedly and unsuccessfully applies for admission to the conservatory - the field of acting. The theatre is her great love, but otherwise it is not easy in her life and she must be able to take care of herself. While working in a kiosk, she meets a boy who convinces her to be his partner for the JAMU exam. She goes with him to Brno and attends the exam. The committee sees which of the two is talented. But will talent be enough?
